Description
This beautifully, elegantly simple kyusu tea pot by artisan Fujita Tokuta features an iron-rich white clay shaped into a round shape with ceramic mesh (photo doesn't show it very well, but it is not pure white as a result).
Left unglazed but high-temperature fired (yakijime), the pot will absorb the bitterness in your tea just a little, creating a more rounded flavor profile. Expect the pot to age as a result of this absorption, turning brownish in color over the years as a mark of your connoiseurship.
