If you are familiar with Moomins, you would think this place is located it in Finland. However, you can find this magical place next to Tokyo, in Saitama prefecture.
Saitama has a natural park called Akebono Children’s Forest Park where Moomin Valley is located among other interesting sightseeings.
The Akebono Children’s Forest Park easily reminds us more of European forests rather than traditional Japanese forests.
If you are looking for a one day trip to the nature, the Moomin Valley in Saitama is definitely a great place to visit and easy to reach from Tokyo. Also a great place to bring your kids.
