Wazuka Village in the Southern part of Kyoto Prefecture in Japan is one of the main production areas of green tea. Often marketed under Kyoto's more famous Ujicha brand (Uji City being the location of the bigger tea finishing factories & wholesalers), Wazuka Village is nevertheless unique for producing high quality sencha.

Several of our partner farms & factories are located in this region: Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms (our mentors in the tea industry), Azuma Tea Garden, Nakai Tea Farm, Wacha Tea Garden, and farmer Shinichi Kihara.
