With nearly 30 other farmers in the Fujieda region of Shizuoka Prefecture, he formed Hito to Nou, Shizen wo Tsunagu Kai (“Society connecting people, agriculture and nature” or NaturaliTea) to both research organic farming techniques and aggregate leaves to compete with large scale manufacturers.
