A standard asamushi sencha from Ashikubo Teaworks farmers cooperative in the mountains of Ashikubo Village, Shizuoka, Japan, this tea was lightly steamed to preserve its beautiful shape, and rolled into fine needles.

  • First steeping
    • Tea: 5 grams
    • Time: 1 minute
    • Water temperature: 70C / 158F
    • Water amount: 100 ml
  • 2nd steeping
    • Time: 10 seconds (pour in, pour out)
    • Water temperature: 90C / 194F
    • Water amount: 200 ml
  • 3rd - 4th steeping
    • Time: 30-60 seconds (depending on desired strength)
    • Water temperature: 90C / 194F
    • Water amount: 200 ml
