Yuji Kurihara of Kurihara Tea Farm shared with us his passion for the new tea farm ownership system.

Tea harvesting at the “Tenku-no-chabatake” (literally “tea field in the sky”), a tea field with an ownership system. Those interested in owning a tea field, we’re still looking for more owners♪

After accepting the applications from the owners, I will select the authorization numbers. Then, I will start shipping out the very first shincha.

We’ll be announcing events on making tea and farming! Our goal is to make an international and tourist friendly tea field ＼(^o^)／.

Yuji mentioned that this specific tea farm is located about the same height as the Tokyo Skytree, the tallest tower in the world with its height of 634 m (2,080 ft).
