This tea is called kumisukuchin tea in Japan, a name originating from the Malay word Kumis Kucing from the plant, cats whiskers (the pistils of the flower resembles a cat's whiskers). The cat whisker herb belongs to the mint family and can be found naturally in places such as South East Asia as well as the tropical regions of Australia. In South East Asia and in parts of Europe, the leaf and stem are made into tea that is thought to have various medicinal properties. The tea is contains a high amount of rosmarinic acid and potassium. In fact, researchers internationally have been studying cat whiskers and have empirically provided evidence of its potential medical uses.

Nakazen's cat whiskers herbal tea was carefully selected from only high-quality Kumiskutin whole plants (flowers, stems, leaves). A healthy tea packed with the blessings of nature. Historically, it is also their first memorable product that was born in 1968.
