Methylated Catechins, found abundantly in benifuuki green tea, is an antioxidant that is marketed in Japan for relieving symptoms hay fever allergies. Drinking benifuuki green tea seems to work for many Japanese, so has been very popular in recent years.
Use 1/3 teaspoon worth of powder, and mix well with 500 ml of water, hot or cold. More powder or less water will increase the strength of the tea, cooler water will lessen the bitterness but hot water extracts more catechin (which is bitter).
