Japanese Mint Kuki-Hojicha
Made from the stems left after harvesting the tender leaves for Hiroko's Japanese Mint Powder, this unique Kuki-Hojicha is a delicious example of using every part of the plant with care.
The stems are gently roasted to bring out their natural sweetness while preserving a subtle hint of Japanese mint's refreshing character. The result is a remarkably smooth and comforting tea with a mellow roasted aroma, delicate sweetness, and a clean, cooling finish.
Naturally grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, the mint plants are carefully cultivated in Koga Village, Ibaraki Prefecture. After the young leaves from the upper 15 cm of each plant are hand-picked for powder production, the remaining stems are thoughtfully transformed into this one-of-a-kind roasted stem tea.
Enjoy it hot or iced. Its naturally sweet, lightly roasted flavor makes it perfect for everyday drinking, while the gentle freshness of Japanese mint offers a refreshing twist unlike any other hojicha.
A rare combination of roasted warmth and cool mint freshness, this tea is both comforting and uniquely refreshing.

About Hiroko's Herb Garden
Hiroko’s Herb Garden is a family-run farm led by Hiroko, the owner of Akiba Farm, which is located in the green, fertile land of Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
Akiba Farm has a long history as a rice farm, spanning 17 generations. Using byproducts from rice cultivation—such as straw, rice bran, and husks—they create rich, homemade compost to nourish the soil.
Without relying on pesticides, the farm uses gentle, sustainable methods that make use of beneficial microbes and photosynthetic bacteria to grow healthy, vibrant herbs from the ground up.
They mainly grow fragrant varieties of mint, along with several other herbs. Great care is taken in the drying process to preserve the full aroma and flavor of each plant.
