Benifuki Green Tea  (紅富貴・有機天然緑茶)

Produced by Miyamaen on Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, this green tea is made from the Benifuki cultivar, a variety developed in Kagoshima Prefecture by crossing the Japanese black tea cultivar Benihomare with a Darjeeling-derived tea line.

Benifuki is also known for its naturally high catechin content, including methylated catechins unique to the cultivar, giving the tea its distinctive character.

Cultivated without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, each harvest reflects the natural conditions of the growing season. Differences in weather, harvest timing, and the surrounding environment create subtle variations in flavor and appearance, making every year's tea unique.
