Rare Teas

SHOW COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
(コレクションの説明を表示する)

Japan is famous for its delicious green teas and fragrant wakochas but there is a whole world of rare Japanese teas that are still unknown around the world, and even in Japan. Many of these teas have been originally produced for local consumption in their respective areas, but as more people move to the city from the countryside and the local population ages, many of these once popular teas are disappearing. Luckily there are still a few people and organisations working on preserving the production methods of these teas. As they are a part of the culture of the villages that produce them, preserving the tea making tradition is also a part of preserving the culture.
