Having grown up inspired by the world of creation, Mami spent her youth searching for a unique creativity all her own. Entering fashion design school, she a wide variety of techniques for utilizing different material and crafts as well as the basics of knitting and fashion theory. Her interest in personal accessories increasing, she began to create her own detail-oriented Jewelry.

In 1997, Mami established Studio mami.mano, conceptualizing the idea “necklaces to create a lively heart”. Since then she has been active in many areas of the fashion industry.

In 2010, Mami began the design and creation of Ki.mo.no Jewelry™, a line fusing traditional Japanese and Western culture and including her previous handmade jewelry series. The material used in Ki.mo.no Jewelry™ utilizes Japanese kimono fabric to create one-of-a-kind works of art.

First exhibit overseas in 2011. Invited to exhibit as a Japanese artist in Singapore’s Japan Fair.
