Osada Tea

Osada Tea was founded in 1947 by Koichi Osada as a small tea factory behind his home. He built strong relationships with farmers from the start and became a trusted tea processor in the area. Nowadays Osada Tea is primarily a blender and refiner of tea leaves that come from Shizuoka and other producing regions. Osada Tea works closely with the farmers of Isagawa Green Tea Agriculture Cooperative of Haruno Town in western Shizuoka to provide high quality organic Shizuoka tea. As a producer, Osada Tea is also known for developing the uniquely Japanese fermented tea Yamabuki Nadeshiko using kurokoji fermentation starters. Throughout the years Osada Tea has won numerous awards and become very respected in the industry for their organic farming and strict quality control.
