For this recipe, you don't need a pan as you don't heat it, and you don't need to stir the mixture to make it smooth while it's in the freezer.
Although the method and ingredients are simple, this ice cream is very smooth, tastes rich and creamy. The flavor of matcha adds a nice accent to the ice cream.

Matcha Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients
[ Serving 4 cups (800ml) ]
- heavy cream (double cream) 400ml
- sugar 100g
- matcha 2tbsp
- lukewarm water 4tbsp
Instructions
- In a bowl, place matcha and sugar, and mix them with a whisk. Add lukewarm water, and whisk well until matcha and sugar dissolved. Sieving matcha is recommended to prevent lumps.
- Whip the cream in another bowl until soft peaks form.
- Add the whipped cream into the bowl of matcha mixture, and stir gently with a spatula.
- Pour the mixture into a container, and put in the freezer for 3-4 hours.
