Deep steamed to bring out the bright green color and rich flavor of the leaf, this spring harvested sencha hails from the Kirishima region of Kagoshima Prefecture, deep in the southernmost part of Japan's main islands, and a growing force in the tea industry in Japan for its high quality leaves.
