One of my favorite gyokuros. Very strong, full umami, no sweetness. Reminded me of late summer veggies. Very fulfilling and bold flavor, definitely good to go as a special-occasion...view more, life-enjoying tea. Took a few tries to figure out the best conditions to brew, but it was worth it. My favorite: 50 ml shiboridashi 5 or 10 g of tea; 1st - 50C, 3'; 2nd - 55C, 30"; 3rd - 60C, 1'; 4th - 65C, 90"; 5th - 70C, 2'. Strong delicious umami with practically no bitterness or astringency in the first two infusions, then still some umami in the following cups. 4th and 5th were nice-tasting cups of lighter green tea. view less
