Literally the "poison blocking plant", dokudami herbal tea is made from the dried leaves of the plant and is generally drunk in Japan for detox purposes. It is often used as an ingredient in kampo medicine (traditional Eastern medicine, which is regulated in Japan by law). More about this herb at the Wikipedia page.
